So it’s been a while since I’ve written – nothing happened for a while and then a lot happened at once. Progress hit a slow spot as Jacob pulled a muscle and I was sick, and then we sacrificed a “Saturday workday” for his 2nd degree black belt test. BUT. We were able to work a few evenings this last week and we put in 12 hours on the house this last Saturday with the help of Kameron (who was there all 12 hours!) Gavin, Eddy, and Wyatt. We got almost all the plywood on the side except the second story. We still need to finish that and cut out some of the windows, but it’s almost done. I got to be a “sounding board” most of the day, measuring studs from the inside and then telling them if they hit or miss with screws from the outside. We will only need a few more large work days before we will have to start worrying about smaller technical stuff and interior design/decor! Our fridge, washer/dryer, and toilet have all arrived and I’m beginning to look at some decor. Maybe I will have a house to decorate before winter hits!
